Everybody needs an error-free device. Due to increasing competition, the faults among the devices can be detected beforehand. It not only increases the sales but manufacturers can also win the customer's trust. To achieve the accuracy and error-free devices, companies used a lot of inspection tests for example- visual inspection equipment, x-ray inspection test, etc. These tests help them to know the actual defect or flaws. For manufacturers or suppliers, it is very important to know the defects and correct them before supplying to the customers. This helps them in increasing the sales of the products.


Basically, there are two types of methods that help in finding the defects, flaws, and imperfections. These methods are- NDT (non-destructive testing) and DT (destruction testing). Testing methods analyze the strength of the device and verify the physical structure of the device. Below we have mentioned some of the important visual inspection equipment. It is important to mention here that the visual testing method is an NDT method which causes no damage to the device.

• Borescopes- It is also known as a Boroscope. Borescope is one of the important equipment of the inspection methods. It is an optical device made up of a firm but flexible tube having a lens one side and eyepiece on the other end. Without affecting the structure of the device or machinery, this equipment can be used. It is better used to inspect the diesel engines, aircraft, and other automotive and truck engines.

• Microscopes- As the name specifies, the microscope is a kind of instrument which is used to see minute objects that can't be seen by the naked eye. There are different types of microscopes which can be used to locate the objects and structures of a particular object.

• Magnifying Glasses- It is a convex len which is used to generate the magnifies images of the objects of different devices just to check the problem.

• Micrometers- Also named as micrometer screw gauge. This device is used to measure a specific component of the machinery and mechanical engineering.   

• UV Lights- UV rays are also known as Ultraviolet radiations having wavelength more than X-rays and lesser than visible light.

If a component fails in the visual inspection test, the component is failed and can't be used again. In addition, it doesn't need any other inspection method. For more information, click here.
